Fencing Foundations

INFORMATION

Overview

This nine-week session is designed to return to our roots by teaching all three fencing weapons in one comprehensive course. Students will start with three to four weeks of foil, focusing on fundamentals like form, footwork, and timing. Next, we’ll move into épée, where precision and patience are key as fencers learn the art of the full-body target. The course will finish with saber, emphasizing speed, control, and attack strategy. By the end, students will have a well-rounded understanding of all three disciplines—building versatility, skill, and confidence on the strip.
