2026 Waiver of Liability

PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING

I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Assumption of Risk: I understand that participation in fencing classes involves inherent risk, including but not limited to physical injury, accidents, or property damage. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

  2. I agree to follow the safety and conduct standards presented by Tri-Blade Staff and Instructors.

  3. Release of Liability: I hereby release and discharge Tri-Blade Fencing Academy, its employees, instructors, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, or cause of action that may arise from my participation in fencing classes, including any injury, loss, or damage to my person or property.

  4. Medical Conditions: I certify that I am physically fit and have no medical conditions that would prevent my participation in fencing. If I do have medical conditions, I will inform the instructor before participation.

  5. Consent to Medical Treatment: In the event of an emergency, I authorize Tri-Blade Fencing Academy - its employees, instructors, and agents to seek medical assistance on my behalf, and I agree to bear any cost incurred.

  6. Photo/Video Release: I grant permission for any photographs or videos taken during fencing classes to be used for promotional purposes.

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT, AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.

Conduct*

This Code of Conduct includes, but is not limited to, following the below requirements:

  • Act in a sportsmanlike manner consistent with the spirit of fair play and responsible conduct;

  • Conduct yourself in a dignified, professional manner relating to emotions, language, attitude, and actions.

  • Respect the rights, dignity, and worth of all opponents, coaches, referees, officials, administrators, parents, fencers, and spectators regardless of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

  • Engage in no verbal, written, or physical threats or have any unwanted physical contact with others.

  • Respect your competitors and other members of the fencing community in person or via electronic, phone communication, or social media.

  • Support the referees, coaches, and event organizers by trusting their judgment and integrity so as to not affect the good order of any competition.

  • Be role models by positively supporting athletes and not shouting instructions that disturb order on the strip

  • Positively encourage all competitors, and remember that in competition, the use of profanity and objectionable gestures is offensive and prohibited.
