
Club Night Structure
Open-Club Night
Four 9-week courses per year (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer)
Set course sizes
$90 per course pre-paid in advance - guarantees placement in the course. recommended
$12 ($108 for 9 weeks) per night drop-in - You may not be able to participate if the course size has been reached.
Club night will consist of two components;
6:30 to 7:30 - a planned lesson and curriculum about the weapon of the current course
Please arrive at 6:15 pm for prep and announcements, CLASS will begin promptly at 6:30. DO NOT BE LATE
Fencers are strongly recommended to attend all weeks of a given course, but drop-in fencers will be accommodated for as much as is practical for the course instructor.
7:30 to 8:30 - an hour of open fencing, self-directed matches of any weapon that you have a working knowledge of.
Courses will be taught by rotating Tri-Blade Instructor Staff, and/or club members. However, each course will have a single instructor designated to lead the course, and an Administrative Assistant responsible for paperwork, attendance, dues collection, etc.
Equipment
Basic fencing equipment is provided, though it is recommended that fencers acquire their own equipment as they participate as club members.
Some non-basic fencing courses may require and/or recommend additional equipment that fencers will need to source based on the topic of the course. Fencers will be notified in advance of these courses and informed on where to source the necessary equipment.

NEW COURSE
Single Stick - Monday Night
For the Summer Session, our lessons will diverge from the modern fencing weapons (Foil, Epee, and Saber) and we will instead be learning about Single Stick fencing. “Single Stick” is a wood or rattan shaft normally with a hand protector called a “Basket” made of hardened leather. ~ nine-week session - July 14th to Sept 15th
Foil Course Parent/Child - Thursday Night
This course is designed for elementary/middle school students (7-14 years old) along with one of their parents or guardians. The parent and student will learn, along with other participants, the basic footwork, defensive, and offensive moves. This is a seven-week session.
